FAQs

What makes Pup Palace different from traditional boarding?

1

We provide a calmer, more personalized boarding experience designed to feel more like a home away from home. We focus on comfort, rest, individualized care, and creating the right environment for each dog rather than high-volume group play. We board only four small to medium-sized dogs at a time.

What kinds of activities or options does my dog have during boarding?

2

Every stay is customized based on your dog’s personality, energy level, and preferences. Activities may include:

• One-on-one play and attention
• Relaxation and quiet rest time
• Walks and outdoor breaks
• Social time with compatible dogs (when appropriate)
• Enrichment activities and mental stimulation
• Cuddles and companionship
• Toy time and independent play
• Cozy nap breaks and decompression time

Some dogs love activity and socialization, while others prefer a slower, quieter pace—and that’s perfectly okay. We tailor the day to help each pup feel comfortable, safe, and at home.

Do dogs interact with other dogs?

3

Only if appropriate. Safety and comfort come first. Some dogs enjoy social time while others prefer quieter experiences, and we tailor stays accordingly.

What vaccinations are required?

4

For everyone’s safety, dogs must be current on required vaccinations prior to boarding. Please send records before check-in.

What should I bring?

5

Please bring:
• Food for the entire stay (portioning encouraged)
• Medications (if applicable)
• Favorite blanket, toy, or comfort item (optional)
• Feeding instructions and special care notes

My dog gets anxious. Is boarding still a good fit?

6

Absolutely. Many dogs do better in a lower-stimulation environment. Tell us about your dog’s routines, triggers, and comfort preferences so we can support them.

Will I receive updates?

7

Yes! We love sharing updates, videos and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is settling in and enjoying their stay.

What if my dog doesn’t eat while boarding?

8

Some dogs need time to adjust. We monitor appetite and behavior closely and will communicate if we notice concerns.

What happens if my dog becomes sick?

9

If your dog appears unwell, we’ll contact you immediately and follow the emergency instructions provided during intake.

What time is drop-off and pick-up?

10

We operate by scheduled appointment windows to provide smooth transitions and maintain a calm, low-stress environment for all of our guests. We understand that life doesn’t always follow a perfect schedule—especially for healthcare workers and busy working parents—so we do our best to accommodate exceptions whenever possible to support your routine and make boarding as convenient and stress-free as we can.

What is your cancellation policy?

11

Please provide advance notice if plans change. Cancellation terms may vary during holidays and peak seasons.

Can I tour the facility before booking?

12

Absolutely. We encourage meet-and-greets so both you and your pup feel comfortable and confident before their stay. During your visit, we’ll show you around the space, answer any questions, and take time to learn about your dog’s personality, routines, preferences, and any special needs.

Your pup will have an opportunity to explore the environment at their own pace, and get familiar with the sights, sounds, and smells in a low-pressure setting.

This visit helps us create a more personalized boarding experience and gives you a chance to make sure Pup Palace feels like the right fit for your family before booking.

Can you administer medication?

13

Yes. Please provide medications clearly labeled with instructions. We do not administer injections.

Do you offer grooming during boarding?

Full grooming services will be available soon—we’re excited to expand our offerings! In the meantime, we currently offer bath services with optional treatments such as deshedding, coat conditioning, and other add-ons, along with maintenance trims to help keep your pup clean, comfortable, and looking their best between full grooming appointments.

Our services are designed to be high quality while remaining budget-friendly and convenient for boarding families.
